While it may be true the reason why he isn’t calling is because he’s just not interested, there may be other reasons. Asking someone out, can be scary for anyone, no matter the gender. In the U.S alone, 25 percent of Americans have an avoidant attachment style, which means they have difficulty trusting others. It may also be because he doesn’t want to come on too strong and doesn’t want to seem to desperate. If you’re into him, perhaps it’s best to give a shy guy the benefit of the doubt, at least in the early stages of dating.

 

We may turn your beliefs into reality just by thinking it. If you believe that someone doesn’t like you, your behaviour might reflect it (by being unfriendly or hostile) which could lead them to lose interest in you, even if they were initially interested.

 

You could wait all week for him to get back to you, but it may be easier for you to stop waiting and make the call first and find out for yourself what he’s really thinking. It may feel like a huge risk to be the first one to make the call, but if you’re willing to go with your gut and be the first one to make the move, you may find yourself in the midst of a perfect relationship.
