My company is very active in recycling and I feel inspired to do the same. How can I go green in my own way? – Mona, 29 PDF Print E-mail

One less common, but no less important, way to go green is to invest in a more environmentally-friendly option when buying a new gadget.

One good option would be the Lenovo ThinkPad series. 30 percent of each laptop in this series is made using post consumer content (PCC), which is derived from office water jugs and used IT equipment. PCC is used in the LCD cover, palm rest, and top and bottom case of the laptop, saving the equivalent of 10 plastic water bottles.

In addition, the laptop:
  • is VoIP-optimized to save time and money on communication
  • has an ergonomic keyboard
  • allows two-finger zooming, scrolling and rotating on a multitouch touchpad that’s 27 percent larger than previous models
  • has an anti-glare LED-backlit panel for clearer viewing
  • uses less-bulky four-cell and six-cell batteries that can last up to eight hours.
