How long should I wait for my moisturiser to dry before applying the rest of my makeup? – Rachel, 26 PDF Print E-mail

Using a moisturiser can be your answer to smoother, silkier skin. But knowing how to apply it can be a little tricky

How long you should wait
Your foundation can become streaky if you apply it too quickly. The trick to handling the timing it is to wait at least five to ten minute for the moisturiser to dry before putting on your foundation. Alternatively, you can sweep on a dry brush over your face before applying on your foundation.

Mulitasking
If your moisturiser still hasn’t dried, try multitasking. After cleansing your face, apply the moisturiser to damp skin and go ahead to do other things before putting on your foundation. Be careful to make sure it’s damp and not wet – if it’s wet the makeup will just slide off your face. That should give the moisturiser ample time to be absorbed into skin.
