The weather has been too hot lately – what can I wear that lets me feel cool without being too revealing? – Rachael, 23 PDF Print E-mail

The summer heat may be irritating you to no end, but you don’t have to get back at the heat with skanky dressing. Here are some clothing options for your consideration:

  1. Maxi dress: Besides being a wardrobe essential that you can wear all year long, the maxi has a great lose fit that doesn’t wrap your body with the heat. Plus, it makes you look and feel super chill with its summer laid back vibe.

  1. Paper thin tee – This keeps you covered without revealing too much and is great with everything from fire red pants to floral skirts. A cotton material tee is your best choice because it’s the worst at retaining heat.

  1. Floral skirt – Avoid looking frumpy by keeping the length of your skirt short, above your knees.

  1. A denim vest – The denim vest is an essential for all layering possibilities it presents.

  1. The flowy top – If you’re a stickler for covering up your shoulders then the flowy top is an absolute must. Linen is a good option. Choose one made of a breathable material that is great for work and after.

I prefer to go for flowy tops and dresses. Very comfortable.I try to skip jeans and go for shorts.
