I have a confession. I absolutely love knee-high boots, but how do I wear it without looking like a stripper here. Plus, I’m only 1.6m tall. Will I end up looking stumpy? – Lily, 25 PDF Print E-mail

Knee-high boots when worn properly, can look absolutely fabulous.

To avoid going down stripper lane, leave the sky-high stilettoed option at home.  As for not wanting to look stumpy, you will have to make sure you wear a single tone to extend the leg without any visual breaks to create a long silhouette. Match the colour of your tights or your jeans to create a longer look.

And to get a leg up, you can choose stacked heels, wedges or anything besides the thin stiletto.  You can also pair your boots with a tunic or a long cardigan that focuses on your legs to create length. Knowing how to wear them right is crucial as they are incredibly flattering footwear which helps to hide flaws like chunky calves and huge ankles.

I think the trick is in the height of the heels. 1.6 is not really that short so heels that are about 3 inches max should suffice for someone of your built
